Community Impact Committee Members

The purpose of the Community Impact Committee (CIC) is for members of the community to provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and support to elements of the Unshame California campaign. This includes campaign structure and organization, webinar content and outreach, website content and engagement, newsletter content, media elements, relationship building, and any public facing collateral to better engage Community Partners and California communities. 

Sophie Drye

Sophie Drye is a 33-year-old trans woman living in Lexington, Kentucky. She works as a recovery coach at Voices of Hope, where she helps link the BIPOC community to harm reduction services through the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC) grant. She has been in recovery from substance use disorder for three years and is a strong advocate for reducing the stigma surrounding substance use disorder. Through her work and openness about her journey, she hopes to inspire and support others in recovery.

Dr. Lacretia Dye

Lacretia ‘Cre’ Dye Ph.D is an Associate Professor, Mental Health Therapist, and Registered Yoga Teacher and Trainer. She has served her local, national, and international communities with heart, mind and body wellness for over 20 years. She is trained and certified in a variety of interventions that focus on the integration of counseling, neuroscience, and trauma informed body-based healing processes. Dr. Dye publishes and regularly gives workshops on topics of diversity, equity and inclusion, conscious menstruation/menopause, yoga, drumming & trauma releasing activities in therapy/recovery.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and engaging in activities that promote self-care and personal growth.

Aaron Guldenschuh-Gatten

Aaron Guldenschuh-Gatten (he/him/his) is the executive director of Recovery Cafe Lexington and has been in recovery since 2016. Raised in North Carolina, Aaron moved to Louisville to study theology in 2004. For 15 years he worked in HIV prevention, case management, and care. Aaron identifies as queer and has lived experience with justice involvement, substance use disorder, and mental health challenges. Aaron lives in Lexington with his partner, Tyler.

Billy O'Bryan

Billy O'Bryan is the Program Manager for twelve (12) Young People in Recovery (YPR) chapters in the state of Kentucky and is over six (6) years in long-term recovery. In his role at YPR, he helps make communities recovery ready and lead the implementation of YPR's EPIC life skills curriculum at five treatment facilities. Billy also serves as the co-chair for the Louisville Host Committee and is a District Committee Member of Alcoholics Anonymous, District 29. He is continuing his education to better serve his community at Northern Kentucky University in their Peer Support Specialist Program.

Shauna O'Nan Traylor

Shauna O'Nan Traylor is an Adult Peer Support Specialist on the Harm Reduction Team at the Jessamine County Health Department. She is grateful to be in recovery from substance use disorder and her sobriety date is May 19, 2018. She resides in Lancaster where she graduated high school and where her two young adult sons also graduated high school. Shauna is a college student at the University of Kentucky, works full time, and supports her family.

Shauna is proud of the great relationships she has with her parents as well as her two young adult sons and their father. Her relationships are her most prized possession. She is committed to giving others hope and spreading the message that recovery is possible.

Cynthia Robinson

Cynthia Robinson is a person in long-term recovery. She works for Deaton and Deaton Counseling as a Community Outreach Worker. Her heart is full of dedication and passion when it comes to giving back to her hometown. For Cynthia, it’s not about how people make it into recovery or how they stay in recovery, it’s about watching them figure out how to live again in their own successful way. Everybody has their own recipe.

Cynthia is married to an amazing woman with whom she gets to experience blessings and growth. They share their wonderful kids and are both pursuing their education together. Cynthia has a goal to advocate for those still suffering in silence, the ones who are no longer here with us, and to fight against the stigma surrounding substance use disorder. She is honored to be a part of UNSHAME KY!

Brittney Snedegar

Brittney Snedegar has been married for 7 years and has 3 children. In her free time she loves to travel, shop, hang out with her kids and participate in community service projects. She also has a newfound love for farm to table restaurants! She is an avid sports fan and LOVES college football.

Brittney's passion for people with substance use disorder started while her own husband was suffering from the disease. She realized how stigmatized the disease was while trying to find him help. It became her mission to help others end the stigma of addiction.

Shreeta Waldon

Shreeta Waldon is the Executive Director of Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition. With 17 years of experience in the social services arena, she is recognized as an expert in the field of substance use disorder treatment and prevention. Within her role, she has been requested to present at local and national conferences and symposiums, as she is seen as a major influence of innovative approaches. Her influence has allowed her to speak at the legislative hearings on topics around race and access, and the poverty.

Shreeta received her Bachelor of Arts from Clark Atlanta University and her Masters in Professional Counseling, from Argosy University, Illinois. She received her Licensure as Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2016 and renewed her certification as a board approved supervisor with the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors in 2023. As a visionary leader, Shreeta has taken a grassroots agency that is built on the premise of meeting people where they are and leverages this principle in expanding beyond the Jefferson county line, to touch Kentuckians throughout the entire state.
